Bimini run 2nd week of May. Hoping the weather will cooperate

Either day, in the morning hours, the wind will be ~8-10 mph. Morning is better than an afternoon departure. Good luck.

Had to postpone the crossing as it was 2 am when we finally reached Miami (flight delays). Will try for Friday or Saturday crossing.
Just flew through Miami and am reminded every time that I do....how much I hate that airport!

On way to boca Chita key

Aiming for Friday morning now. Did a quick dry run today of around 50-60 miles and the boat behaved properly at 30 mph and 30% fuel burn. I think we should be able to make a decent crossing on Friday.

Staying pretty much the same.

Good! What was the water/wind/rollers like? Average cruising speed?

Have a great time!!!
Thanks Dean. Wind was quite heavy. Lots of chop on the way. First 1/3 of the way I was being cautious and not pushing the boat too hard, around 15-16 mph with all trim down.
Next 2/3 I was hitting 22 mph and then saw dark clouds in the distance and sped up to 30+ for the remaining way.
I was not happy with the fuel burn. I need to improve a lot more for Abacos.

who should i call for cart rental
Hi. The way we did it was to go directly to the rental place and pick a cart. The rental places are very close in either north or South Bimini

The beginning of the Bimini run. Notice by the speed how cautious I was of the wind and the waves. I was trimmed all the way down.
