I have some pics but nothing exciting yet. I bought some stainless steel S hooks on Amazon and use temp on bow wall to hang shoe organizer and across back for life jackets. I can add links if you would lie. Been looking for a shelf that will fit in our 2015 242LS it is only 10.5 inches wide at stern wall.
@vxooxv, I'm looking for some ideas also. I know the head compartment on my '08 212X is vastly different, namely it extends forward under the bow seating. Would love to see some storage mods for our boats!
These storage mods are awesome. You guys are all geniuses. I agree with the above post about 21 foot boats. Does anybody have any solutions, ideas, or pictures of storage mods for the 21 footers? I like the idea of keeping everything in there instead of asking people to get up off the seats. Heck, I'd love to velcro or hinge those dang seats down (let me guess, there's a thread for that?)!
I just added the "shoe holder" mod to my boat as the winds were extremely high this weekend. I bought the organizer on Amazon and made a few mods. The good part of this is no screws or holes in my boat . The metal hangers were bent (the one on the right is the original and the one on the left is modified) to allow me to insert them in the overhead. If you insert it sideways and then twist it when you get it above the top it slides right into place. It may not hold a lot of weight but I am thinking if I like it I will put 5200 on the back of the hangers which should allow more weight. Right now they are free moving.
Here's a couple pics of the table holder I made for my 2010 AR240. There's not enough space to put it vertical next to the door like some of the posts. I put some scrap Hydro turf on the inside for padding. Works great.
We were tired of sorting thru stuff on the floor of the head/storage compartment, so I decided to start modifying. Moved the table and holder, put the bow filler cushion there. Hung some K-rail for holding hangers, shoe holder etc.
