I just bought one of those on Craigslist and installed in my garage.Basically just like it sounds, it simulates the environment of space. You put a satellite inside it, pump out the air to a near-perfect vacuum, flood it with liquid nitrogen and helium to get to near-absolute-zero temps, and see if the thing still works. Can also use the heat lamps on top to mimic radiation from the sun, to simulate heating and cooling cycles as a satellite orbits the earth. Pretty neat chamber
