I was talking with someone the night after the locks run and mentioned that I felt bad you had been on the trip two years and never made it through the lock glad you got one lol.

May not look like much but those are 20ft+ seas as seen from 60ft up from my platform's main deck. Had winds in the 60s today with gusts hitting 80mph!!

Spending a little time working on my other hobby today. Cleaning, installing amp, and new extended top. She's my little neighborhood hotrod. 48v, 500 amp alltrax xct controller, aftermarket d&d motor, 2 gauge wiring throughout. Not bad for electric. Will spin those 23" all terrain tires and run 32 mph on gps. That's turned down too. Can hook laptop up to it and raise motor rpm to hit higher speeds but worried I'll blow a motor.

Coming back from west viginia with the boat... stopped at a rest area... when we were ready to leave i sprung on my wife that she was driving.... shes nervous but she stepped in and is doing great!

Now.. i wonder if i can sleep!

My Father's Day present. Chaparral 227 SSX Surf. I feel dirty getting rid of my Chaparral Jet (loved everything about that boat), but damn if I did't have to get this boat. Hope to see ya'll on Falls Lake, and if you ever want to try the surf it churns just let me know.

I did not ask this vendor about costs or forms but doubt there was much to it. My brother, 14 year old son and I went fishing a few days ago off of this boat (crappy picture) in what I considered questionable conditions (swells large enough to hide the boat next to us) we didn't fill out a thing but a fishing license form and the captain didn't show us where the life vests were.



On the bright side I did catch three different types of fish (yellow tail, rooster tail and a skip jack).

Here is what is printed on the menu regarding raw food, the total opposite to what I see in CA where they won't prepare / serve raw / near raw food.
