No.Has anyone used a screw type clean out plug for sewer lines instead of buying new Yamaha clean out plugs? Before I buy new ones was just looking at all options. Thanks
Yeah....post photos as the rebuild kit includes the entire bottom half and is only approx. $50.I broke them in half getting them out of the boat.
I was able to rebuild them. Sorry for no response or pictures. I am having trouble now with the port. It seems to be really corroded and plugs not latching. Any idea on what product to use to get corrosion out of port?we still need detailed pictures to see if he can save the plugs or not, he may be ok , as I said the bottom of the plug forms the bottom surface of the hull using the reverse move he can get by without the plugs ability to be removed in most cases but the ball is in his court.
Guess that’s on par for title description
Both sides. It is salt accumulation. Was wondering if there was an easier way to clean. Read dishwasher liquid and SOS pad. Also read lime away. Can you tell what type of corrosion it is? Like salt accumulation? Or something eating at the metal?
That having been asked, I would probably just rebuild the port one, too. If the one needed it, the other one does too (or will soon)...
I rebuilt both. It is the hole that they go in that seems to be the problem with corrosion. Might not have stated that correctlyCan you tell what type of corrosion it is? Like salt accumulation? Or something eating at the metal?

No but that’s a good idea. I only run the boat now on a freshwater lake. Previous owner had the boat in Orange Beach. Are you hitting it regularly with the Salt Away when flushing? That would seem the best to me. But, I also don't boat in salt water, so someone who is in salt may have better advice. I do know that Lime Away is acid gel and is effective on calcium/magnesium deposits. Not sure its effectiveness on salt.
