@Julian, I received the C&I forms from Bahama tourism yesterday, so thats good. I haven't seen any more emails regarding dockage though. I'm assuming we're all good there. Last thing I saw was he made reservations for us. Good news is they included a schedule of known Bahamas Boating Flings and none of them coincide with our dates, although a group will be leaving Bimini June 30th. Hopefully they don't suck up all the supplies. We're all really looking forward to this trip.

We’re getting closer!!! My husband and I booked at SpringHill suites in Fort Lauderdale for the night of the 30th. We booked a parking package so we have that option if the lot at Harbour Towne is full. The hotel is only 2 miles or so from the marina.
Today we’re working on a dual battery set up and installing the radio! We have also purchased the handheld and I think we’ll be able to get the gas cans this week. I think that’s all we needed to get the boat Bimini ready!
58 days to go!!
Did you check with them about trailer parking...their lot doesn't look that big....
@Sbrown any preferences on hotel brands....I have points at both Marriott and Hilton. I'm looking at the Homewood Suites as there is tons of parking around it, and the rate is pretty cheap ($112/night)
This years travel has been crazy for me, just got back from India, and head to Israel next Saturday, then Vermont the next week. So these last 4 weeks are leaving me very little time to prepare!!!!!
So I'm going outside now to work on my new Garmin Echomap Plus 94SV install (replacing my Garmin 541)!!! Hope the rain holds off some!
It is a little bigger than the 541!!! Gets in the way of the right side of Connext screen, but that is ok because that is depth, and the garmin will do depth a ton better. I may get a longer arm to move it out of the way more....

I was just looking at this unit at West Marine and trying to figure out how much space it was going to need. I'm going to measure when I get home and see if there is enough space where my tachs are currently to surface mountit if I remove the tachs. West Marine has it on sale for 799.99. Its last years unit with g2 charts instead of g3, but otherwise identical to the new one. Garmin will update to g3 for free as part of their current chart guarantee.

The other difference is that the west marine unit has the CV transducer vs the GT transducer which is a 2 element vs 3 element unit. Only matters if you are into fishing.

Good to know. I only meant to compare the price of in-store unit current unit at 1099.99 and the year old online unit at 799.99, both from West Marine and both with the CV transducer, I think. I realized when I re-read my post that my intention wasn't very clear.
Where did you get yours from? I'm not even sure West offers the one with the better transducer, lol

I got mine on Ebay as Garmin stopped selling them with the GT transducer, and switched to the CV. Something to do with a patent issue was something I read. The CV takes 2 side scan views to interpolate a down view, while the GT has a down scanner and separate side views. This means it reads deeper.
