Good call - if I had to trailer my boat 60 miles each time it would never get any use. I have a similar marina situation but my boat stays on it's trailer inside of a warehouse and I launch/recover in a private boat ramp that is about 50 yards from the warehouse. I like that I control when it's in/out, can work on it out of the elements, have electrical service for charging the batteries, and there is a gas station less than a half mile away so we save at least a buck a gallon when filling up.

Your setup sounds awesome. Mine does stay outside at the marina, at home, she lives in a garage. At the marina, I secured the last "Dry sail" slip they had, it just happened to be right in front of the water and electric hookups, so at least I don't need 300' of hose and cord to work on it. I would prefer it indoors, but out here it's only a few months out of the year that we can boat anyway, and I'll try to keep it covered when we aren't out on it.

Haha, been there and done that! I called it stimulating the economy. Really sucked during Covid when premium was almost $6 a gallon and we were using the boat every weekend.

A Belted Kingfisher and an Osprey from last night's cruise, both are amazing to watch when they're fishing. Got lucky with the Kingfisher picture, because they never sit still for very long, and I was losing the light last evening. And Osprey look ridiculous when they're just hanging out, then turn into stone cold killers when they're in the air. Need to get a good picture of one hitting the water with those claws out.

When there are this many boats on the water, the seas become very nervous. All of those wakes result in 1–2 ft waves of random chop that takes hours to dissipate.

I was 30 NM offshore in the Gulf of Mexico a couple weeks ago, fishing the drop-off of the continental shelf, and the water temperature was 95°F at 2 ft depth. ??????! My sonar was pinging the thermocline at ~20 ft depth.

Nice weekend on the Chesapeake Bay… I will not bore anyone with fireworks pics, but by far the longest and wildest fireworks show I’ve ever seen on the water. Here’s some with our cheap Amazon underwater lights.
