Nope believe it or not it i have seen it happen. Some idiots out there that dont think peoples safety is worth double checking your work. Almost all brake pads can be put in backwards.I was thinking the same thing. The only conclusion I can come to is that they only installed one pad per disc

Except some people are replacing pads that they've worn down to the metal!!! LOLIt hit me with your post, the space in the caliper doesn't usually have slots for the pad ears, it's just a big gap! It's TOTALLY possible and easy for someone who's never done brakes before to screw it up.
