Great St. Louis tradition - Fish Fry at my church.
I was one of the dishwashers, I can barely move... we had a record day - over 1,200 meals served. Some guys have been working that gig for many years, you can only get to the fryer station if someone dies, I think, LOL.

@buckbuck - as a Safety Coach I would like to say that thank you for ensuring that your work site is clean and organized and that you safety chains and mid and top rails are in good condition!!

As you have those barriers in place it is not necessary to have fall protection donned, however it is definitely a part of a "best-practices" policy. You always want to make sure your guys are well taken care of.

Great to see your pics - which mean you had a safety watch on site. Great job sir!!

Studying for upcoming exams at school. Oh boy! I could be out boating but school comes first.

LMAO - tell Palm Beach College to proof read their study material before handing it out.

Pupils- Equal- Round- Reactive - Light Accommodating = PERRLA.
I saw "PEARLA" written by so many other medics - I always asked them for the acronym.

I'm guessing you're going for Basic or Paramedic - study hard and trust me - FLASH CARDS, FLASH CARDS, FLASH CARDS.
I actually downloaded a few applicable apps and stayed on them.

@Bennie I have brought it up so many times and they just say the computer corrected it or they take a note to change later. So much studying and just in Basic now Medic will start in the fall for me.

Congrats @2nazt

It can be a fun, but very thankless job. I did that for over a decade, anything I can help with I'm happy to!
That job can be a great stepping stone and will help ease you if you have kids, knowing you can better judge and remedy any injuries.
Good luck bud!!

Thanks @Bennie i can't wait to finish this and Fire school this summer. Busy busy busy but the end result will be worth it

Funny. I was just there 2 weeks ago and they were wearing the same thing. Maybe their laundry machines are broken?

You have been living in the south too long. You know that is not a blizzard.:)

I'm not sure one can ever live in the south too long! Reminds me of the comedian that began his set with:

"I was born in Iowa and lived there until.......<thinking> until.......<thinking>......I realized I was free to leave"

Things in life happen so fast... sometimes I don't know: Should I laugh or cry ?

Enjoy the seasons of life is my suggestion.

Was there a few years ago now the photos are with college acceptance letters. My advice is to secretly disconnect the car battery and the cell phone charger in a vain attempt to capture a few moments of time. It does not get any easier ... or cheaper.
