The percentage charge this battery showed after a few hours on the charger. I can’t complain, almost got 5 years out of this $100 walmart battery.

Sign me up to be a part of that team.

I bought 3 boating magazines today and saw at least 1 thing in each that I think are post worthy.

First is the origin of the maritime term “head” in the January 2018 issue of Boating World.

Second is this pic advertising a chaparral surf boat in the February 2018 issue of outing. I know a wake surfer is not likely to fall forward and strike the prop since the boat is moving forward under Power unlike the surfer who is just falling forward but I would not expose my friends, family or self to something like this, the drive and prop are just way to close for me.

Finally, is a blurb from a review of a new pontoon boat, check out first sentence in the first full paragraph, in the February 2018 is of boating world.

More than likely, this is the drive being used on that boat with the surfer. Which keeps the props tucked under the boat.

I disagree, you can clearly see the upper gearcase on the boat with the surfer and it's very squared off as opposed to the streamlined upper gearcase on this one.

Nevermind; I stand corrected.
I think the text on the right also was saying...."Powered by Volvo's Fo"rward facing.....

But based on those photos....I'm not sure that those are the same boat....the photo in @BigN8 's screen capture has the drive completely under the boat...so you wouldnt see any gear case at all.....wouldn't be the first time the marketing guys took liberties with the sales shots!

The boat in the ad is a 21 surf and @BigN8 posted a 227 Surf, thus the difference. It was a point I was going to make, but upon further research I discovered the 21 is also supposed to be powered by a forward facing prop; thus my "Nevermind, I stand corrected" comment, which was an edit.

I see some cleaned (Mary Kate Ultimate) and protected vinyl (303) getting ready for the season. Gotta love garage boating on a rainy day :D
