Had warmer days here…had a few overnight lows of -25° with daytime highs around -5°, its been in the 50’s the past few days but a storm system is coming Monday and over night lows are forecasted to be 8° with highs in the 20’s. El Niño this year, and a quick flip to La Niña in May points towards a cool summer and possibly a colder winter next year.

Did you recently retire? Seems like you’ve been all over.
Shit!….I wish. Naw, I can somewhat work remote so I do short trips with good connectivity and then the longer trips like this one I burn vacation days. Had to take this vacation. Cause our rollover vacation from 23 has to be used in Q1 of 24. The cell service down here is actually quite good.

Alexa learning how to play ice hockey. Wild how one of the hottest most humid states in the country has such a following for the coldest sport.

Shoots left. I used to skate in Orlando in 87. Puck it!

Going through my Father in Laws stuff today. Made me think back before we had kids and I used to help him with this truck. He had a F100 that he restored. I happened to have a yellow S2000 at the time. This was about 11 years back. Unfortunately he sold that truck a few years ago as he never drove it. Sure wish he would have kept it. We were in the garage he had built specifically to put that truck and it made me think of this pic. Took me forever to find it.

A brave (or foolish) juvenile Cooper’s Hawk seems to have settled into our Red-winged Hawk’s territory. We’ll see how well they tolerate each other this summer.

I'm missing lots of photos because I took mostly videos. On Friday night we went to a restaurant in the hood (aranjuez). I've drove there with my BMW before, but it's not recommended lol so we ended up taking an uber. After the restaurant we went to a corner bar and drank with friends.

The next day I drove 3 hours to Jardin, Colombia with tons of curvy roads. Really tested the new tires (I got a side wall puncture a few weeks ago and discovered my front tires weren't run flats, and BMW 1-series doesn't have a spare o_O) I went to this peruvian restaurant and after went to the town square where everybody hangs out, we drank, and watched the horses doing paso fino (from youtube)

the next day we went to brunch and then to ride quads to a waterfall. Quick weekend and nice to finally know Jardin.

On another note, I'm starting to think about my new-to-me 242 that I got to use a few times before heading down south in October. I've been looking for marinas to keep the boat in south Florida near my dad. I booked my flight back to NY march 28th after which I'll drive down to Florida. It's bittersweet to leave Colombia so early, but I hope to be back in Colombia soon. I'm talking a lot of business ideas with a few friends. And soon I'll save money because my friend back in NYC bought a new apartment in Medellín and she wants that I rent it, cheap, and she will furnish it. I went there a few weeks ago to check out the project and see the model of the apartment. They will finish the building/apartment sometime in June-September.

When I posted that one on instagram, I thought about making a comment about their favorite meal being fish and chippies, but my wife is a fan of chipmunks and might not have thought it was as funny as I did.

Do you own a shipping company? Lol
No, but I have a commercial UPS account. It's just 8 chair bottom covers to be changed to Sunbrella red.
