My mother got the unfortunate news that tree roots had grown into her mound septic system and the trees had to come down. I went over armed with my chainsaw and her utility tractor. With in 45 minutes I knew that this project was going to take 3-4 days. I’m 45 years old so 3-4 days of hard labor isn’t like it used to be.
Luckily, the family of the previous owners and builders of my mothers home stopped by and saw us working on the trees. They offered to bring over some equipment the next day and at first I was hesitant. I really don’t know these people all that well and I’ve never worked with them on a project. I decided to take them up on the offer to come back the next day. I continued to work and 20 minutes later I see them show up with a small crew and heavy equipment.
My mother has always let them deer hunt on her 28 acre property ever since she bought it so they wanted to help in exchange for her generosity.
They made easy work of the trees. We got done in 2 hours what would have taken me DAYS. I’m so0o0o0o0o grateful for their help.
There‘s only one place in the next county where I can get non-ethanol gas and it’s about 25-30 minutes away. Too far to tow for each fill up. Unfortunately, I’m stuck using gas with ethanol in it 99% of the time.
My nurse SIL does the same for anyone to help with the day after's. We've all learned to start having a water or Gatorade between cocktails, but sometimes math gets harder to do as the day goes on. Dehydration is the main reason you feel like shit, and I'm guessing all those old guys in that heat and activity is ripe for some pain and dehydration!
As a FYI, a big toke of Oxygen from a welding outfit cures headaches almost instantly. When I was younger and welding for a living this helped get through the day after a night out on a school night.
Dude she’s a dick, the dog that is lmao. She is Eastern European and Chech working dog lineage. If anyone outside our immediate family comes into the house she’s ready to kill. I call her basszack. When my daughters boyfriend first came over she was on high alert. I said ballzack get ready and Stella was ready to castrate the boyfriend. If I take Stella for a walk, she’s on a muzzle, e collar, and chocker prong collar and that barely stops her. She’s only 11 months and 70lbs, pretty sure designed for one purpose. Other than her, we have a 14lb wiener dog..
Haha. I won’t take Stella on the boat because I don’t want a piece of fiberglass or seat cushions missing. The wiener likes going on the boat, hence the name “The Salty Wiener”
It’s family friendly yet dirty at the same time
The earlier you can get started crate training your kids, the better. Sometimes, the ladies balk at this, but a stern "Woman, back in the kitchen with you!" is usually enough... to get your new sleeping arrangements on the couch
Compressor finally came today, used my heavy duty motorcycle jack to get it off the pallet. Slid onto the jack after cutting the side of pallet. Then lowered then slid on 2x4s to its spot in the corner
