The official "What did you do to your jet boat today" thread.

Got mantus m1 anchor 13lb.
Anchor that came with the boat got stuck and I had to cut the rope. Box anchor that was perfect for Chesapeake Bay ended up being useless at the lake. Did not hold the boat.
M1 even with some strong winds holds the boat pretty well.
Had to pad anchor compartment to work with Mantus. Sits pretty tight in there.

That's a REALLY nice solution to allow storage for that anchor. My anchor locker is far more closed off and I'm unable to store mine there, so I made a holder out of 2x6's for that same Mantus that I also have. Holds like a champ, it's just difficult to store, so your solution is a winner in my book!

Found a spot for the dial for the shunt... Pretty happy with it.

No need for language like that on here, church it up a bit! 😜

That's a nice solution. It always has me scratching my head about why Yamaha places things where they do. It's like they never test the layout, or consider how people would likely prefer to use the boat, or how the helm can be laid out SO much better than they do it. The radio placement on the helm of my boat, for instance...one of the things that is likely to be high on the list of often-adjusted items, and they bury it behind the steering wheel at a crap angle, and place it FURTHER away from the captain, all to have a "phone tray" that's going to have the plugs coming out at it, and the phone falls off within the first few waves you cross.
