Just got the trampoline back in the yard after it went for a tumble last night in the 60+mph gusts. The anchor was 2’ deep and pulled out by the winds. Looks like I’m repairing the netting posts….again.

Been getting a lot of use out of this lately (box cutter),my son got it from Amazon, when he worked at a local Amazon warehouse a few months back. He told me to throw it away because it brought back bad memories of his time there (grave yard shift). I’m glad I did not and am now just appreciating it/little things like this.285EDC4D-97AF-49FC-977F-84463F0B1AF7.jpeg

We had that problem once, or twice, maybe 3 times. Now we put about 5 concrete blocks around the bottom on the lower rails. No problems since.

I'm going put the anchor back in the ground and have a sand bag or two on each leg to help it out

We have been seeing high winds too lately. I am surprised @Babin Farms trampoline did not end up over here. After last night's winds I had to check on the boat cover in the still warm conditions ahead of tomorrow's snow event. Happy to report it is still intact.

All good here, just tightened up a couple of halyards slapping on the mast.

I did see this main halyard wrapped around another boat's radar.

And some dead zebra mussels on a lower unit.

These little boxes will all be filled with candy, and then some, they usually make between 40-50 boxes in several batches, tonight was the first batch, and the crew looked a bit rusty so they need to pick up speed tomorrow.

Took my Mom, Aunts and Uncle to and funded an Indian Casino trip as an early Xmas gift. It’s 2 am, we’ve been here since just past sunset. I’m ready to leave, they are not.

Where are these 70 somethings getting their energy?

Mom's '07 Escape had some brake issues. aBS ring was broken in the end of the CV shaft. Have to replace the entire shaft because the ring is press fit in place. After running to AutoZone for a 32mm socket, I had to improvise this madness to get enough torque on the axle nut to get it off....

Whole time I'm singing in my head "Time to do some sketchy shit doo-Da; Hope I get away with it doo-Da" :)

PXL_20211218_153612754.jpg

Went ahead and did pads and rotors while I was in there......they were definitely close to failure.

Also.....effe you Ford and whichever of your engineers decided that this little wire clamp thing is the appropriate way to hold the caliper in place. Took 30min/each to fight these stupid things back into place.
PXL_20211218_165648878.jpg

Finished the brakes and went back in the house to find the toddler "helping" with Christmas cookies.......yea, he was a mess.

The warm weather, in the 50's, this week was nice to get a couple of things done without snow cover. I knew it would not last long, 6" overnight and still snowing. Nice to have thru the Holidays, then it can go away.

How's that truck treating you in the harsh weather? Heated seats and steering wheel have to be nice. 4wd with the aut rear locker helps in the snow as well I'm sure.

All working very nicely. I have not plowed yet and I must say it surprised me coming up the hill this morning after morning chores with only a good set of all seasons on. I know...the day is not over, going back down to plow now.

Much milder here is southeastern PA, but when I went out last night to pick up a pizza it was 42 degrees. Put the heated seats on low and turned on the heated steering wheel. Don't know how I survived my first 40+ years of driving without these.

My jack handle is definitely my breaker bar too, although I’ve snapped the drive right off a craftsman 1/2” ratchet doing that and I havent tried again since.
I’ve never seen the pickle fork jackstand trick. That’s pretty clever!

I see about a dozen of these guys digging for acorns just off the driveway below the house.

Thanks.

I didn't have any other method to keep the hub from spinning. This escape is front wheel drive only, I had both front wheels in the air, and it has an open front differential. I tried jamming some things in the other wheel, but just made a mess. Came up with the pickle fork and jackstand idea after standing there and staring at it for a few minutes.
