I was a bit vexed on what type of fish this was … apparently it is a German brown, the lake variety here in the mid west doesn’t have the red circles around the black dots like the stream variety does.

Great Day on the lake…

especially after it stopped raining. Once again, spending some cash on a good set of rain gear made a cool rainy morning totally comfortable.

303 Marine Fabric Guard works great. It is mostly only where you see beading. One 32 oz spray can cover that much area.

Do you notice that any water gets in under this cover? My sx190 cover has two vents up top that I think allow some water in during a driving rain. Haven't been able to pinpoint anything.

When I put it on my cover, I went from having water seep through the cover and slowly collect in the bilge area, depending on the amount of rain we had. After spraying it, the boat was bone dry and I never had water come out of the bilge when I would turn it on.

Well this sucks!!! Trying out the cub cadet mower after just sharpening the blades. Wife runs out and said there was glass all over the kitchen, but could not see where it came from.

About 7'6" up. Was mowing 100' down the yard at the time. She found this on the floor and shards of glass everywhere.

Tape it up and order a replacement upper sash.

SO! How is your morning going?

Used to do landscaping, and the BIL's house was a free cut as a perk for working at the same company. I told him he would have to have my nephew pick up all the golf balls before we got there each week after sending a few into his siding.

Never broke the window on that side with a golf ball. It took a fishing reel for that! ???‍♂️?‍♂️

What did you get for rain gear? Had some Frogg Togg's, which help, but it's simply a slower-developing swamp. Far better than the old stuff, and great for a surprise shower, but I'm looking for something to work in as well

I did not look under today, I was hoping to, but didn’t get to. My experience the past couple of years was like @The Canuck described. I suspect seams too be the weakest link, then pooling on the fabric. (I wouldn’t suspect vents unless they are more horizontal than vertical, but if the water is in the same place…)

I would have some dampness in a few areas and puddles in heavier rain. Mostly around the starboard bow, one of the captain’s chairs, and/or the cushion above the batteries. The first and last seemed to be from small pools on the cover seeping through. My cover is old enough (‘18 or ‘19) that I’m sure any original chemical water resistance is long gone. If the 303 works as well as it looks and lasts a year, or better two, it is worth the price.

I have a few sets of Frogg Togg Co Pilot II rain gear sets… they were on close out and I got them hella cheap. I’m very happy with the rain performance, but I have monkey arms and FT’s doesn’t come in tall sizes, so the arms a bit short. The only other thing I don’t like about them is the hood, that could be better. I also have the zip in permaloft liners which make them exceptional cool / cold weather over clothes. They keep me dry.

I have looked at AFTCO, I like how their bibs are held up, and they seem like very good rain gear products.

This set looks pretty burly with cordura reinforced knees. They also come in an insulated version.

In the water, putting her back together. Lunch first..
