Good idea . Here are a few color options with the text. I think the white will be easier to see with the red backdrop.

For a gathering banner, I like the colors and the layout, but not sure a boat is needed or the statement. My thoughts on the boat are this...there are too many models and only one is displayed, so it isn't meaningful to me...and a newer member has yet to establish what one of these boats looks like at a distance, except for his too. Just my thoughts. But if you feel the need to go with a slogan...how about..."jetboat experts". I could buy "Yamaha Jetboat Experts"...but I think we try to avoid the name Yamaha.

with your text . The shorter it is, the larger the font can be without having it run into the boat.

How about the letters, at the bottom, morphing into a wave by the bow of the boat. In any event you got a winner.

Sadly I probably won't be at the events mentioned here but I like the bottom banner.

Just my $0.02 - The less you put on the banner, the better. The less you put on it, the message is easier to understand. Something with maybe just the logo and the logo text. Adding the "Welcome" looks nice too!

If the banner is for the exclusivity of the group then less is better. If, however, you are trying to encourage outsider's questions, interest in our boats and possible new members you need just enough info to wet their appetite to ask more.

lol. I put free beer on one of my banners a while back as a joke (had nothing to do with watersports or boats) and the result was less than what I thought it would be. From what I have learned in every trade show I have been to... the way to draw a crowd is (.)(.)!

Seems to work for pretty much every lake havasu event video on YouTube I have ever seen ;-).

Just have to have one or two "booth babes" to draw in the crowd. At least that is how it works at trade shows that are full of nerds.

Once sent an email to the IT department from a coworker's machine. He refused to lock his machine when he walked away even though he was a production DBA with the keys to the kingdom. The email just said "Free Cookies at My Desk". The crowd got there about the same time he got back. At one point a guy from the wintel team yelled "The free cookies are a lie." to the people still arriving.

Months later while trying to trap a coworker with a screenshot of my unlocked desktop as the lock screen so I could run around behind him and send an email from his presumably unlocked desktop I accidentally ensnared the CIO. It was fitting though that he was the one that had started the game and he was there when we decided the thing had runs its course.
