Ok so I am looking to take the plunge on a boat. I have a few options and just looking to hear opinions. These three are in my budget and all pretty similar. What would you go with and why.
A) new Yamaha fsh 210 sport (if I can even order one)
B) 2019 fsh 210 sport (most i have seen are 48k-55k under 80hrs loaded electronics and troll)
C) 2017 scarab 195 open ( under 80hrs, loaded, 40-45k)

Will be a family boat 75% fish 25% tow. 90% lakes 10% gulf action

I always prefer new since the factory warranty is in place, there is an option to purchase the extended factory warranty which I did and the electronics and troller are all new as well.

Having said that, if you can find a used one that is in the range you stated may be a good deal in this market. I spent $62K in July of last year and that included a 10” Humminbird Solix MFD, Riptide Ulterra troller with IPiolt, battery bank with on board charger, 5 year Yamaha extended warranty, and a $1500 ceramic wax coating.

For family usage, the 210 FSH Is roomy and comfortable with plenty of seating, and a lot of storage. There a total of three coolers on the boat, the OEM carry on, the insulated fish box under the starboard bow seat, and the live well. The CC storage area can hold a porta potty in addition to carrying a lot of gear. The fuel tank holds 52 gallons, and the TR-1 engines are pretty good on fuel so you’ve got good range and or many hours on the water. Boat test .com‘s test showed a range of 156 miles with a 10% reserve. I’ve not towed anyone yet, that may change in a couple of days, but the boat seems to have plenty of grunt out of the hole to get a skier / boarder up.

How many people do you see having on your boat?

The boat is a fishing machine. The center console design allows easy fishing access all the way around the boat, my favorite place to fish is off of the swim step. I’ve had 4 people fishing off the boat at one time while I drove and everyone had plenty of room to fish and land fish. The jet drive allows you to get the perfect trolling speed in addition to the trolling motor. You‘ve got the bow fish box plus the live well to keep your fish in or use as coolers. The live well works very well at keeping your fish / bait alive.

Hope that helps! If you have any questions feel free to ask!

@Zombiezach, please correct your avatar as it is in violation of The United States Flag Code.

“The flag should never be displayed with the union down, except as a signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property.”

@Zombiezach more importantly it is used as a political reference primarily, and our code of conduct states we don't host politics here.

Thank you for the insightful and helpful comment. I did overlook the warranty aspect and only having 4 days off a month I definitely wouldn't have time to fix major issues myself.
