I was food shopping recently when I decided to get my wife a flower or small plant. I couldn't decide if symbolically she is more like a chicken or a pig, so I went with a small plant in a plain pot in her favorite color instead. This felt like test and I think I passed.

Trying to get into boat/beach body shape, this time with a 5k over a coarse with a lot of inflatables on it. Some were a lot harder to get through than I expected.

Today marks the 100th anniversary of Vimy Ridge.

For you folks south of the border, this ranks for us Canadians on the order of Iwo Jima, or Bunker Hill in terms of importance to our nation.

These are the Army Cadets that were on parade this morning for the 21 gun salute.

This was me, 10 years ago, at the 90th anniversary rededication ceremony at the Vimy Monument in France. It is inscribed with the names of all of Canada's missing from World War One. Those with no known grave are recognized and remembered here. This is their tombstone.

Edited to add the pictures that for some reason didn't attach...

As you can see, the boat is out of the garage, the battery is charged up, the bimini is installed, life is grand.

Monday. Monday is the day we're hitting the water.

Round trip business class can vary quite a lot depending on how far ahead you book and the time of year. I typically shoot for around $5-6K. It is also interesting to know that it is sometimes cheaper to book with a code share partner than the American airline. For example, this trip was $6500 via AA and only $5500 booked via BA. The itinerary in question is Raleigh-London-Bangalore, Mumbai-London-Raleigh (doesn't include my intercity trips in India)

Our marina opened early this year, doing April 1st to October 31st now. Not many people in yet ... but I am! :D
