My son and friends from college visited during spring break, so my wife and I let them borrow the Waverunners, none of my sons friends have ever been on a pwc before.

the part most non-boaters don’t see. That is me fueling / refueling the jets and support vehicle at Costco with the “cheap” now “least expensive” premium unleaded.F4C04618-E598-4ADF-AC60-F712C47F66C2.jpeg

I just saw this at a gas station I’ve been going to and driving by for years and had to take a pic. I wonder if it works.

What is that in the water to left of the last house on the left?
That is an oil rig off in the distance. There are about 7 I can see from where we are. We also get to see some of the big cargo, tanker, and freighter ships entering or leaving the port of Mobile. Here is another pic of one of the oil rigs and a tanker ship waiting it’s turn to pull up to the oil rig.

You can also see the oil rigs along the horizon in this short vid.

Now I can start the walls.

aren't you supposed to do walls first and membrane over the mud pan?

aren't you supposed to do walls first and membrane over the mud pan?

No. There is a pitched mudpan under the membrane I did last week. Lay the membrane over that mud pan and seal it to the drain assembly and put another layer of mud over the membrane to take the tile and the riser for the drain grate. The membrane turns up the walls. The backer board on the wall overlaps the membrane and gets sealed at the bottom and then tiled.

Went to a hockey game over the weekend. There was a firefighters charity game first and then the paid players got their chance. Kids really enjoyed themselves and my daughter says it's her new favorite sport.

Have you figured out what the problem was?

no, so many possibilities, it idles very rough in gear,
it's got 30 vacuum lines and most are broken and I think some have been hooked up wrong,

either I've got a carb problem with a port with no vacuum or it could be the electric choke not functioning correctly

the car had sat for 10 years and had 1/2 tank when we got it so it could also be debris from the tank clogging the fuel filter or just old fuel fouling the carb. (we've ran 3 can of carb cleaner and almost a qt of transmission fluid straight down the carb)

work in progress, :) :banghead: :rage: :winkingthumbsup"

drove it yesterday 20 miles to the gun club and back with no issues, felt lucky so I drove it again this morning to work,

Start them young, especially if they like it. This is my brother in law (coach) with his grandaughter at a recent tournament. He did the same with her Father.

Friday was a very hard day for me. I had to say goodbye to the brazilian city and people that I got to know over the past 2 winters and its unlikely that I will return there. This was my view on Friday morning before I went to the airport. The good news is that I will keep my boat for this Summer. And waiting for me was a bike I bought 2 months ago while I was away. 2017 Specialized Demo 8 II with some good stuff, Ohlins shock, DT swiss 350 hubs, boxxer team fork

Why would you not go back?

Went to the lake yesterday and there were thousands of these little dead fish everywhere. Water is still cold despite it being 95 out so swimming wasn’t really an option but I don’t think I would have swam with these guys even if it was.

Golden Algae seems to be the culprit:

Yep I was at one of those three lakes named in the article.
I’ve heard of algae problems killing things here before but it seems pretty early and cool for that.

Yesterday a buddy called asking if I wanted logs delivered to my place. The answer was "yup". This is what showed up yesterday by the time I got home so I piled up and called it a night only to look out the window later and another load had been dumped off. From the sounds of things there may be about this much again delivered today. Looks like I wont have to haul wood home for myself this season.
