What is historically fished for in the river there?
Perch, bass, Northern pike, walleye in the deeper pools downstream, rainbow trout in some of the tributaries, catfish usually at night. There are 4 hydro electric dams on the river where we fished. The first one up from Lake Champlain stops the sturgeon, Atlantic salmon as well as all other species from passing it.
