Bought a new anchor rode. Decided to stitch in some markers every 10' to help my wife with gauging how much was let out.
The spade connections on the Polk DB651s are a little dubious. Had an occassional issue last year with them disconnecting. Soldered on some quick connects.
I got more stuff from amazon, etc from ups/usps/fedex today and organized and consolidated it.
Stuff piling up on my workbench that has arrived already:
a.) my hodge podge distress kit: orange water proof box, flare gun, flag, small air horn, whistle, vhf radio, paddle
b.) 4 sentry fenders
c.) a new coopers anchor 3.6kg
d.) waterproof bag for first aid kits for dogs and humans
e.) 4 blue dock lines to match the boat
f.) veve 47" guides and ce smith lights
g.) life jackets for my two dogs
h.) misc stuff - hawkbill knife, waterproof flashlight, extra lanyard, irwin clamps i hope i never need.
I think this is everything _except_ the boat with the exception of spare parts and my travel tool bag. But, I do have amazon carts for dual battery setup and charger once it gets here.
I also read a bunch about jetboatpilot thrust vectors versus the cobra jet steering. (this is like android or iPod, so far.)
organized my boat project/mod list .
FML. The "1st or 2nd week in april" can't get here fast enough. It was actually nice enough to go on the water today.
Had my annual CG vessel inspection done today, get the little window sticker that hopefully prevents some on-water inspections. Inspector today was a little bit of a PITA, asking for things not needed on this sized vessel, and not quite understanding my response of "It's not required, what's next?"
Took boat out for the first time this season today. Left the dock and had no power. Engines running but no thrust. Ended up letting the wind run it aground...
I forgot to put the jet clean out plugs in ? [HASH=127]#WinterWasLong[/HASH]
Got her out of the barn for a first-weekend-of-spring outing. Spent Saturday and Sunday out on the water around the Emerald Coast. Even took the SUPs out for some more fun. Air was nice and warm-ish. Water was a gorgeous emerald green but still a crisp 65 degrees! Even took the doors and top off the Jeep...perhaps a little premature, however, in hindsight. Either way, can't wait for warmer weather and summer! Even decided (sort of; about 75% committed!) on a name -- SOF Spot.
I put the batteries on the charger for only the second time this offseason. I then cleaned up some things around her from being just thrown in around her over the winter. It was really starting to get to me so I had to get a start it. I have to renew the registration on both her and the trailer to make her legal and give her a good bath and wax. Can't wait to do some donuts!
Installed some additional power outlets and a fuse hub. The new jacks are located in the bow in front of the cup holders. Overlook the dirty boat, it still needs detailed.
