Wrangled up an unwanted visitor today...
That is a big one! Do you live close to a pond or creek? We have both and live in the woods and we primarily deal with copperheads. Usually no more then a foot long.

I'm really glad I changed them out. They definitely put out more bass than the 6.5's did.
I have an 06 ar 230, seems like the interior didn't change that much. were you able to fit the 8 inch's by the captain and co captain chairs or just in the back?

I noticed my swim deck ladder strap was almost gone! SOB didn't look so bad until I looked more carefully on the inside surface - plenty of dry rot/cracks. Glad I caught it before too late.
Here is the old - looking okay on the outside:

...But not so good on the inside:

Fortunately, I already had the replacement purchased earlier, just in case:

Easy swap, and a possible headache down-the-road prevented:

Nice catch! Good thinking having a back up. Going to order one now too.

Installed my Thrust Vector. Hoping to get to the Veve guides later this evening.

I know you already put it on, but I wonder if this might work wonders on the new one?

Funny, I buy 303AP by a gallon!
Probably started too late or didn’t get enough on that strap.

Installed my 4 new Kicker speakers, a second trickle charger on my extra battery, and purchased a new SealSkin cover to go over the snap on cover. It isn’t strapped down tight yet, but you get the idea.

Changed out the melted rubber ignition grommets, installed LED's for the busted white lights, cleaned up some nasty bits like the storage lockers, and installed the yamaha dual battery kit. Man the battery kit was awesome! I read thread after thread of dual battery setups, but electrical just isn't my thing. Bus bars, VSRs, blah, blah, blah.....just went right over my head. So I loved the simplicity of take this numbered wire place it in this exact space, etc .

Where did you purchase that dual battery kit at? How much was it?

@suke I don't know if you have a cover for that battery but you may want to consider covering those posts. Bad things can happen if something shorts out the battery.

And it is something that the Coast Guard will look at if you get boarded.

I have one but left it off the boat. Had gotten up and down so many times I didn't have it on in the pic. At least on the other battery. There's one on the start, I'll put the one on the house battery today when I grease the bearings.

It’s the entire kit, including switch, wires, and diagram? Almost as simple as plugging and playing?

I have a second battery on board, but it is not connected to anything. More there for piece of mind in case the main battery ever dies.

Yup entire kit. Wires, connectors already crimped, diagram with detailed instructions, battery tray and necessary screws. Only thing missing is battery post protectors. Which are like $4 a pair at advance. It's as plug and play as you can get. Super simple instructions and the cables are even numbered so it say connect cable labeled 1 here 2 there.
