2017 Lake Shelbyville Illinois Gathering, July 26th to July 30th 2017

Our 11 year old will be there (12 next year).....and was there year one along with @OperationROL @007 and @Sheboat .... super family friendly!

Was there a kids SUP race this year too? If not, we should have one next year!
There were 3 different age ranges for SUP races. However, no entries in the 12 and under category this year. Hopefully the kids will step up.

I think our daughter might join us next year, but being 23 she's definitely a little out of the young kids range. I'll have to see if she can hang with the St. Lunatics...lol!

I think for the 2017 gathering I should just go ahead and buy myself a 2017 black 242x. Just sayin'.......;)

Put us down for tentative. Wife son and myself.

Welcome @luckie_529
Please reassure your wife that your internet friends are just regular people with Midwestern values. She will feel at home at the Shelbyville outing.

She made it through Lake of the Ozarks shootout week including the poker run. We like to travel and meet new people. My job on the other does not like me to travel so much. My birthday is 7/26 so I get to pick right:winkingthumbsup"

Out of vacation until January. Would like to do something over the winter in the Tampa FL area. Bimini in April and maybe back with the group trip.

That's pretty funny. I noticed how they use Natty light as the bottom of the barrel. Just as I thought....

Lol !!!! Still Natty for me !!! :)

Hey folks, what role do vendors play? I was at a boat show recently and when the dealer learned I'm from IL, he mentioned the Shelbyville gathering right away.

I'm a little less than 2 hours away and am planning to bring the family (1, 4, 10) Wed evening thru Sunday. Are there any recommendations for campgrounds w electric/water hookups?

Did I see from past threads that there will be a registration form for shirts, etc eventually? Is there a cost to attend?

I realize it's a long way off yet, but I'm looking forward to it already.

Hi @BigAbe75! Welcome aboard!
The campground at Lithia Springs is very nice and has full hookups for you, and the ramp and marina most of us use is right there also. Lithia Resort, where many of us will be staying, is right next to the campground and you will find many of us hanging out in "the circle" there after the days festivities.
A few weeks before the event @OperationROL will start e-mailing everyone to verify who is coming and get t-shirt orders.
There isn't any fee to attend other than your bright and shiny faces and a willingness to have a great time with an awesome bunch of people.
Believe me, you will most definitely have a great time. :winkingthumbsup"

And that is exactly what the sponsors do! Make us have an awesome time! In return, when we are looking for a purchase, why not support the guys that sponsor our events?

I can't speak for all of the sponsors, but for myself I am a boater first and I am there to have fun and just support the event as much as I can. Hanging out with all of the people we have meet over the years and just talking boats. Giving demo rides if anyone is interested in our product and simply just making sure that this event keeps going.

2017 will be my first shelbyville visit... who are the sponsors?
Watch the official videos and it lists them all! Great way to get into it and find out who to support.

LOL! Beat me to it @Speedling ! Our sponsors are all awesome. They do change up a little year to year, but are all great people who contribute to the event in different ways (event hosting, food, swag, monetary contributions, etc.). Most come back year after year and we couldn't do what we do without them.
