2017 Lake Shelbyville Illinois Gathering, July 26th to July 30th 2017

Was just going through the model years and we are missing the following years from our line up (from 2001):
2002
2003
2005
2009

I plan to contact Yamaha as the GM mentioned when I was talking to him at the media event that we had this gathering every year and that they could get some awesome PR/Marketing shots at it....and we'd love a Sponsor. He didn't bat an eye and said...sure...we'd love to sponsor it! The list is pretty impressive, and if we could get a line up....or circle of all the models we have together in one shot for them....bet they'd like that!

So I got a call from Nancy at Lithia Resort about a month ago letting me know that the resort is filling up and would I like to rent out Lincoln Log cabin #7 again before she rents it to someone else! Of course I said yes and thanked her over and over for calling me I tell you what, people may have had issues with her over the years but she is one excellent lady in my book! So mark us down for Lincoln log #7 for Sunday 7/23-Sunday 7/30.

We are excited to attend for the 1st time in 2017 Shelbyville. We are staying at ""Our Old House" a few minutes away from the Lithia Resort. We received this recommendation from Nancy. We are very thankful.

In October the website told me I couldn't reserve camping sites until January. So, went to check it out today, and got this notice.



Not real sure what it means, yet. Will probably need to make a phone call at some point. Just wanted to post it if there are any other campers starting to think about Shelbyville.

Put me in for Wed-Sunday. Not sure where we will stay just yet. Most likely I'll pull the camper up there. I'm just not too sure if her 2013 Explorer will be able to pull my 242 LS the 2 1/2 hour drive up without causing an issue. Never did it before for anything more than a few miles.

We still have to do some checking but it looks like the week if shelbyville is the first week of my kids school.. they are in a charter school and it goes back earlier than many schools. If this turns out to be the case we will have to cancel.. we have a place reserved already .. if we have to cancel someone here may be able to snatched it up.. I will advise..
