Do I see a set of twins ??
Based on my count from the first thread and recent addition, I have 8 or 9 boats and 10 members. This should make for a great trip. What's the boat count up to so far?
@Julian how are you guys looking are you going to make it as well?
My wife is manager of the swim team and they have signups on the Friday night....I'm still considering driving down after that....
same here. It is about a 3.5 hour drive from our side of town. 7 AM start gives us plenty of time.
Awww come on @Julian .. I'm doing it with 3 kids... a 14, 11, and 7.... u can do it..Google tells me 3:45 and with the 2 females I have and the always hungry 11 year old...that's a 5 hour drive for me! LOL
I with you, now that we have about 10 boats and close to 60 people, finding a place to handle both the boat docking and amount of people could be difficult. My crew is good with a tie up to eat lunch that we brought. Since we are launching around 11 am, it will be past noon by the time we get to the lock, maybe we could tie up in Lake Moultrie before we go through the lock, some where around Black Camp or at the other end of the lake near the Navy Short facility (where we stop for a break last year). Again, my crew is good with whatever works out.it was mentioned way earlier in this thread about where to have lunch on the water. With the size of our group now I'm not sure anywhere on the lake or river will be able to accommodate us.
Blacks camp may be able to I will check but docking for 10 boats maybe difficult. If that's not possible we can all eat before we leave and just be ready to head to Charleston after launch or we can plan to stop somewhere after the launch to have a picnic style lunch and tie up and anchor in a calm section of the river. What ever majority vote is I'm good with. Just want to have a game plan so everyone knows to eat before launch or we all pack for a stop on the way down.
