Here is 80 minutes of snow falling in Fargo this morning. Yup, I condensed it to 1 minute, but I'm glad the boat and waverunners are put away. We are expected to get 6" of snow over the next 24 hours. It will melt as fast as it came, it's only October 10th!

Nice. Here's mine for today, it didn't snow too hard, I expect to get pounded this year.

Well we are not quite to that point yet...but we took advantage of the weather today, knowing what is coming

The marina closes on the 15th and the weather did not look good for doing this, then

Going out and pulling the Yamaha, from her slip, for the season, so at 81° we did both on 10/10, we see what is coming from out west.

Anywhere from 13-19" of snow fell on the Eastern side of ND over the past 36 hours! WOW. Northern MN most of it fell as rain. The ground is not frozen yet, so it won't stick around. But there is a chance that a snowmobile may be hitting a ditch soon. Just to say we did it in October!

I sure hope we get a decent snow pack... the 1 guarantee we have here in Utah is there's no guarantee. My philosophy is that if it's going to be cold then it better be cold for a reason... the reason is snow.

I posed some questions to the Utah Department of Environmental Quality on Facebook about the algea blooms we've been plagued with on Utah Lake in recent years. One factor they cited was that the lake had not been freezing the way it has in years past. So if that could happen too, that'd be great.

Thankfully we don't live ND... I don't think I'm ready to deal with that yet...

Nobody is. There are photos of combines trying to take in beans with snow on the ground. Sugar beets and potatoes still in the ground as well with snow on top. It's a mess.

Today was a bit chilly I must say, temps in the 50s.

But still awesome to hit the water!!!

This is about 700 miles from the panhandle in florida and Michael still packed a punch. I cant imagine the energy this storm had when made landfall. Prayers to all impacted down there.
This is from the southern edge of the eyewall, about 10 mins of hard storm, a shear wall hit our neighborhood, lost about 4 trees...This was a 34" big ole hickory
