Found another roadside goodie. Weber Q2200 with the stand. Had to take an awl and open most of the gas outlets on the burner due to being either rusted closed or plugged with grease. Igniter needs replaced but other than that it’s a $400+ grill for free. View attachment 204987View attachment 204988
Farmers field by my house… a small thunderstorm in the making. These storms come up so fast! I was washing the interior of my boat today with intent on waxing it as well, saw a few clouds and kept working. Looked up 20-30 mins later and was like oh crap! I had to do a hurry up hurry up and get all the stuff in the shop and put the cover back on. As I was tightening the straps the Thunder started and I had just got in the house when the skies opened up! Then a hour and half later this was the scene.
Modding out the scum of the earth machine (91 Kawasaki 650sx stand up).
New Mikuni 44mm carb to replace the pos stock Keihin 38mm. More power and way more responsiveness and reliability. Just have to open up the intake and use an adapter plate.
Absolutely horrific story that makes me glad I own a jet boat.
Still a good reminder to keep track of everyone in the water when you’ve got a big group out. A jet boat could still knock someone unconscious and kill them in this situation.
So this morning we finally went for a ride to check out the local single track.. well lets just say we won’t be going on these trails again. It took us 4 hours to go 5 miles. That’s just one section where I finally stopped to take a good breather and could take a picture or two.
We got back about five mins before a severe thunderstorm started..that was just the first round, more on the way tonight.
We were tied off, no engine running at the time, or for a few hours at that point. I appreciate the heads up. Thank you very much for letting me know we will have to keep that in mind for future trips. We only acquired this new boat 2 weeks ago, so I am learning a bunch. Our 195 didn't have the head space so this is all new. Never too old to learn though!
