They say nothing is more peaceful than a sleeping baby…..I disagree! A sleeping blue heeler is absolutely freakin amazing!! I played ball in backyard for 20 min then went for a 45 min walk and I was able to get 1 qtr of football in peace!

My German Shepherd was supervising my painting project all weekend. Yesterday at lunch she fell asleep on my foot then slept all the way through the night until 5:30 this morning. I felt like I over slept. That’s my 100lb sea cow.

I sent this to my 15yr old daughter who now thinks she’s the cats ass because she has power in JROTC and is the oldest in our household. She didn’t find it funny when I called her out on it.. ???

Thats one way to transport 250 pounds of dog! Cane Corso?
That’s what they looked like based on a Google search.
Not nice dogs. I took my 3 year old over to see them and the motorcycle and they went nuts and scared the shit outta both of us.

We got some rain in the last 24hrs. Driveway culvert is 4' dia.

Our other crossing of the brook to the blueberry field.

How much rain do y’all get?

On our local news this evening, they are saying we had a total of 4.5” of rain in my town. A lot of standing water in the surrounding fields and the local fishing ponds are at levels significantly higher than normal.

3+" + snow melt.

There's a short downhill section here, tons of big rocks, and steep. I'm used to riding this stuff on my long travel enduro bike, but this year I'm on a light short travel bike. Great bike for climbing, but man.. That was a rollercoaster going down without much control. I elected not to try it again.

Water is life…. Hopefully a lot of that water translates into a bumper crop of blueberries!

She caught 60 of these in August alone. She eats most of them, all that’s left is the head and the gut sack.

It has been warm, warm is relative-its still going to be 28 or so over night but 50 during the day, here since the latter part of last week and is forecast to be nice up through Christmas eve day, so I pulled the boat out of the shop and went fishing and wanted to test the re done skat Trak impellers, it is amazing how much quieter these impellers are over OEM or the Solas impellers. The wind came up this morning and it was Cee Oh Ell Dee! I had my down jacket on under my insulated rain gear with warm water proof gloves and a beenie and plenty of hot coffee! The wind died down later in the day and it was just freaking stellar! I kept saying WOW to myself, out loud.

Caught that big laker right out of gate then caught the other smaller one a bit later… then no more the rest of the day. Cruised around the lake for a while enjoying the smooth quiet ride then came home…

Little turd nail was a tough one to get out. Was loosing about 2lbs of air a day and only found it using a cup of soapy water. Plugged and back in action.

The "evolution" ?

I'm rearranging stuff, and finally broke down the stand I had that Delta on. Hopefully I'll be turning that Hitachi into the home stand saw, and the Delta will get repurposed (and relegated) to the "borrowing" saw and jobsite beater. The Festool has become a godsend as I age, as the weight and dust collection makes it something I am willing to use indoors, if necessary, but is far easier to move around than that boat anchor Hitachi, with almost identical cut capacity for my typical needs.

The sorting of those toolboxes will net some more room, as well as a cleaning out of the old garbage that clearly isn't being sought out.

Bonus day #2 started out with me noticing two sets of frozen footprints ? from the night before on the dock…looks like a brave couple went for an after dark cold plunge… ?

I got a bit later of a start than I wanted to, it’s such a trip how low in the sky the sun is this time of year.

I managed to catch this one small laker at the end of the day, it’s always nice to not get skunked. This is why having a raw water wash down, a self bailing deck and no marine mat is nice, clean up is easy. I put the fish in the live well for a while to let it recover before putting it back in the lake.

The fish tossed up these fry on the deck, you can see one on the deck in the picture above as well.

Good for the polar bear plunge couple. I think there was a Seinfeld “shrinkage” skit about cold water ?

The water temp is 39° right now…. The only way I’d ever consider getting in water like that is if there was a decent cup of coffee waiting for me afterwards
