What did you do to your boat today?

I already ordered the SeaDek for my anchor door, but still on backorder. I was going to order the ones for the side of the bow, but it would look too busy. I'm not even sure I can climb on my 21 footer, let alone a 25 footer because I have a bad back. I laugh at myself. I bought a nice boat but can't get in the damn thing.??

YOU'RE the guy that needs the bow ladder! Lol If they only woulda put it off to the side so you could get in when it's on the trailer..

The only thing I did to the boat was to pick it up from storage. They pulled it out yesterday, and the wife forgot to tell me she brought the hitch in the house, so I had to wait an extra day. No biggie, I can't put in anyway

@OBXjetboater I've never seen a Yamaha cover with the dealer info on it. Did they give you a break on the price to act as a rolling billboard? :)

Boat/cover looks great, nice color scheme.

no but I am just happy to have a cover

Given that you are advertising for them, how much did they charge you for that cover?
Both of my covers say Yamaha on them. The white shipping cover came with red letters, snd the black mooring cover csme with white letters. I was one of the lucky ones. The mooring cover is back ordered for some models. Personally, I think the guys who didn’t get the mooring cover got screwed over. Maybe the desler said it doesn’t come with one, and kept it. They sell for $900+

Spring cleaning! Finally. With some help 7EAD608E-8352-49D3-82FC-B7630991067C.jpeg

With the assistance of my son we repacked the bearings in the trailer. First time that I've done it myself. I've always taken it somewhere and had someone else do it. Wasn't hard at all. My son found a YouTube video to help me get started and see what to expect.

We got all 4 done in one day with only one beer break which I thought was pretty good. All the races were perfect and only had to replace one bearing pack. I replaced the rear seal and cottor pin on all if them.

The grease in the brake axle was like the color of chocolate milk, but it wasn't runny and still very thick and grease like. I'm thinking that those hubs are always warm when they're dunked so they pull in the cool water more then the other ones.

Next on the list is to change the oil and she'll be ready for some fun.

We went out to the boat yesterday with the new foam V-berth cushions to check the fit before the covers were made. We used the old ones as a pattern and added a 1/2" around the perimeter. All good with the fit.

I did the trailer tongue and winch and they work fantastic from Jet boat Pilot. I am sure it saved me a few times from slipping and knocking my teeth out.

Jet boat pilot sells sea deck kits for the trailer tongue and winch. I did grip tape for a couple seasons but it’s not so great when it’s real wet.
I installed those already. They don't stick to the painted trailers, so I had to use adhesive to install them

I don’t know how there aren’t way more injuries from that. I’m 40 and somewhat athletic (although I think I’m 20 and invincible) but I’ve had a few close calls that could’ve easily resulted in a knee or head injury on that damn trailer if it weren’t for dumb luck.

I don't see the need for climbing on the bow anyway

Or your the only one in the family who's comfortable backing the trailer in and backing the boat off of it. Working on getting others in the family to step up and learn how to do it but for now it is what it is. I mounted a 4 step retractable ladder on the tongue of the trailer and it works great (I have pictures of it in another thread). My boat never had the bow ladder.
