ADMIN-Changed title to add "VOLUNTEERS NEEDED"....

I find it strange that all these years in Tahoe, I only see one Yamaha boat in the lake. Cobalt seems to dominate the market here.

We have members here that might be willing to offer a serious person a test drive or ride in their boat. This is totally voluntary on the members part, and is not "sponsored" by Jetboaters.net - volunteer and perform at your own risk! Members will be far more likely to offer this to people who've been active on the forum - IE - you didn't just join and seek a ride - you've asked pertinent questions and posted seeking clarification on models/issues etc.

I added a poll option so a tally would sit at the top of the thread......not sure if that will be helpful or not. If you vote yes/maybe and have a location in your profile I will try and keep the list up to date (ping me in a conversation if I miss you).

It may be more helpful to create a google doc for tracing this. Lets see how this plays out. I have made this is STICKY in the Welcome Aboard New Member forum.

Need anyone in NJ? Please feel free to put my name down. I'm (mostly) on Lake H.

What a great thread, BTW!

If Yamaha only fully appreciated what you guys have been doing for them, over the years; [USERGROUP=3]@Administrative[/USERGROUP].

Right? Although, I heard Julian got his new boat for buying a Yami executive dinner and a movie :p

What an awesome and helpful forum. I was asking for a test ride with my dealer, but they have no boats available to even show us how the boat looks in person.

I am in (Apex) in Raleigh, NC and would really appreciate if anyone can show us their Yamaha boats. I placed a reservation for AR190 and AR210. Which ever ones first. Thank you.

I'm in the same situation (and location) as @Kalg. I've been researching the AR190 but the closest dealership doesn't have one they can show me.

@suke has a 21' model, I have a 24' model. I'm happy to show you the 24' boat!

Edit: My area should be "Port St. John." The St. John's river runs inland all the way from Jacksonville to Melbourne, and is passable only north and west of Geneva. I boat the part of the river from Sanford north to Blue Spring.

More commonly than driving to Sanford to get on the river, I'm on the intracoastal between Cocoa Beach (Banana/Indian rivers) and Port Orange (Halifax river/Ponce inlet).

Happy to talk/take interested folks for a ride.

Wisconsin, Florida, Kentucky all showing up strong...... Great turnout.

16 AR240 New Bern, NC available, add me to that list
Any excuse to go out, lol

We should volunteer @drewkaree - he has the perfect docking area to show potential buyers how convenient the clean out ports are to remove weeds……. :)

You can't volunteer until you learn how to spin your boat at my pier only using the throttles! ?

I dunno..... Hey may go on and on and on about sealing the hatch and water getting in......... could be a lot :winkingthumbsup"

@drewkaree Definitely has a lot of insight to give!

"Things to inspect before you sign on the dotted line, by @drewkaree".

I like it, it has a certain ring to it!

@Julian you can add me to the list.

Anyone near Lake Tahoe or Northern Cal or Nevada, I'd love to go for a ride on your Yammie. I'm on the fence between 252XE and Chaparral 23".

Ronnie may have a 242LS for sale soon, he's contemplating. He is near the bay area, but gets up that way.

The staff at the landings on Tahoe hate wake boats and jet engines due to the amount of water they can hold. And with the very strict invasive species laws and enforcement, it's just a pain.

Count me out then, those rocks were scaring me. :)

@mraz72 Funny. Just pack your own vest and you are good to go. I like it.!!

What if you only have one engine?....
