Shelbyville Illinois, July 30th to August 3rd 2014

Julian,
I think we have the same first generation digital Rebel if I recall correctly. After much thought and shopping we went with the Canon 70D with a 18-135mm lense and a 250mm lense. Both are stabilized. This thing also shoots video but I don't have a lot of experience with that.

We will be there Saturday morning.. Earliest I can get away from work..

We should be there Thursday afternoon. We plan on getting the boat out of the slip on Wednesday evening and leaving Thursday AM.

We are booked at Gregory motel, talked to them this morning, he said they still have a few rooms available if anyone is looking for lodging.

You better be ready to book this trip far in advance for next year. I guarantee that this will be on your list for vacations for future. I know it is on ours. Kind of crazy to meet a group of people for the very first time and feel like you have known them for a lifetime.

We are so looking forward to the trip, we have been on the lake a few times with friends, and have camped at Lithia , so I'm sure we will be putting it on our yearly list ...

Ya know, I just scribbled all my info on an envelope. I guess it may be time to find that. Especially because I'll be going to from Shelbyville to Cumberland, I gotta get my dates right!
We debated on adding on Thursday night, so I don't even remember what I actually booked!
I need a vacation so bad it's not even laughable anymore. It's like serious bizniz.
As far as a count, it's gonna be me, wife, wife's twin sister again, and 3 adorable kids of mine. We will be there for SURE Friday and Saturday nights. I think Sunday we are there during the day, but then getting off the water early and headed to Cumberland through the night.
Any cool places for a Sunday evening dinner?

@Speedling - Sunday? At Lake Cumberland?

I'll be driving East once we pick up a rent a car for my wife and daughter to continue their midwest tour (at Indianapolis Airport). Should be fun pulling a boat though an airport....not! Unfortunately there are no other rentacar places open on Sunday near Shelbyville....

@Julian
sunday during the day we plan on boating then go out for dinner around 6 and head to Cumberland through the night when the kids are sleeping. Didn't know if anyone does dinner together Sunday night.

So who is staying until Sunday night?

Cindy and I are game for anything, just haven't made time to make plans that far out. Too busy planning other trips.
