Good Morning from the Champlain Valley. A sunny +3° start. The Broad Lake is still open.

Socked in yesterday with another snow storm.

Another inch of snow last night, waiting for them to open the office

Drive wasn't to bad, guy going 30 on clear/dry road and the past by pickup going about 50 in the untouched lane,

Why don't people just want to drive my speed???

Most likely some Northener transplanted down there and he still has his studded snow tires on.

I plowed one of our trails, with the Kubota, about 3/4 's of a mile out into the woods to the backside of the sugarbush a couple of days ago, so I would not have to carry everything, including the chain saw, out there on snow shoes. The snow is thigh deep off the trail and the Polaris, fitted with tires needed some help getting out there and back. On the way back yesterday, I saw this guy using the trail, scraping for accorns in the plowed trail. This must be his territory, I've seen him here before. The Turkey's are hungry.

He sure didn't seem to be afraid of you.

Trying to take a photo of a puppy is damn near impossible. They’re like sharks. Constantly moving....point a camera at them and, GONE!!! I had to share these. Good light and she actually stayed still!

I got an email from the marina that our lift was down on Wednesday so we went to check everything out. I'm guessing the air temperature change caused the lift to fail. The boat was still on the lift but it was definitely in the water. We turned on the lift and it raised right up, no problem. I brought my temperature gun out of curiosity and the water at our dock 1000' of the shore was 36°F. Here's a couple of pictures I snapped while we were there.20210218_131447.jpg20210218_131901.jpg20210218_132435.jpg

She just had her big baby of a 6 year old pitbull pass suddenly 2 nights ago. So i pushed up the time line early to cheer her up. It worked

These cup holder inserts/extensions just came in for my wife’s 2021 fx ho. They were ordered at the end of October 2020. Probably the least expensive oem parts I can buy for this thing but I’m still surprised yamaha doesn’t include at least one at no additional cost. After all the fix line is their luxury line and the least expensive model just cost me $17k.

Be sure you get that snow off the cover it will stretch the heck out of it quickly. The snow also adds weight to the boat...especially if its wet snow.

I think I need to sight-in her rifle, lol. She just loves shooting.
It's a pretty awesome 10/22 takedown.

Thank for making me look thru the fridge, we are out of Cabot French Onion Dip. We have been friends with some of their employees for many years, from our cheesemaking years. We beat them, as far as medal count, in the 2004 World Cheese Awards in England. We took home 4 awards to their 3. This was the only time I can say we ever beat them. They are very big.

New wing recipe I threw together is really good if you like sweet heat!

Minced garlic
Heinz 57
Honey
Butter
Red pepper flakes
Sriracha
Cracked black pepper

Stir ingredients then let it simmer to caramelize a bit until it begins to thicken up. Add cooked wings and stir them in the sauce. Then either let them sit in a bowl to marinate some more or place in the oven for a few minutes to baste and these will be killer! Let me know if you try it out and what you think :winkingthumbsup"
