Question, should I get a thrust vector with lateral thrust or just a thrust vector? I'm not sure which would be better.
Thank you

These two items are for different purposes. One does not replace the other. Call Will at Jetboat pilot for explanation.

TV's are for low speed forward steering control. LT's are for reverse control.

If I only had budget for one, I would go LT's first. But in the real world, they are both worth their price. You just opened yourself up for piles of opinions, so pop the corn now.

Do not mess with the new style nozzles the nozzle has 2 angled reverse tubes under it unlike the old nozzles so when you turn one thrust pushes you back while the other adds in a side thrust but they are not opposed they are angled view picture below new style next to the old style nozzle . As for fixing all the steering deficits add a cobra super magnum ak-19 deluxe system, and get real steering at all speeds adjustments that allow you to set the level to your preference and super fins that automatically increase or reduce the effect when the need changes so you can even turn with no thrust and make high speed turns with very little speed bleed off and deal with wind waves and strong currents. also have plaining surfaces that give a better hole shot a smoother ride in chop and a cleaner wake. Built from tempered aluminum and positioned to sit above the rudder and off to the side forming a V configuration and then you also get the second tie rod for balance and redundancy in your system . 20 years of making jet boats steer and drivers smile cobrajetsteering.com

I have both, love them on my boat. Great product, great company. Customer service is top notch when I had a question.

Have both on mine as well, JBP is great!

Interesting because Will insists that the thrust vectors are on top of the water at speed therefore they can not do anything at speed to improve the steering and I was told by him they were out of the water at 4 mph .
So are you sure about this ? and does any one else have any proof that they are in the water on plane I am VERY interested in this .

so we have the first person starting this post with 4 messages on his profile and the one I just responded to with 1 post on his profile I see the class of 2022 is waking up so here is some food for thought.

Yes the thrust vector helps with high speed but is a definite help s slow speed like docking and no wake zones my sx210 was hard to control at low speed until I got a set .
Mine are attached to the jet nozzles two and both are even with the top of the nozzle and go down about 18 inches and due to the nozzles are always below the water so are the thrust vector fins.

pictures of that please nozzles are above the water when the boat is on plane not below it.

This is exactly why I will never buy his product. Zero class. Zero professionalism.

It is just a spammer who is full of it. Totally ludicrous.

You never know, however it is exactly the same pattern of what I call troll posts that I see on the face book pages year after year I even posted on my face book page for cobra jet steering a warning about this sort of misinformation from trolls and marketing people but 23 years in law enforcement I can't help but recognize patterns and other tells so I am giving him the chance to prove he isn't as full of crap as a Christmas turkey.
After all I have been doing this for 20 years. but on the other side of the coin I did see a post on a facebook page that followed the pattern and it was actually a real honest post . Remember I always tell people to drive their boat as is first and if they need help with the handling to make sure they do their research . Now he is up to 2 posts , if you want to laugh when you see some of these posts on facebook pages and you research their profiles and info it's hilarious and obvious, and there are some key words I look for also fake profile pictures or no pictures and I don't even waste my time with those people I just block them instantly. Maybe he just does not understand what it is he is saying or he just does not understand the language. When I see this sort of thing what I actually see an opportunity to reply to the silent majority , those people are the ones who do their research and don't let trolls tell them how to spend their money. The others are sadly just jumping off the cliff.
