Safe trip this morning to everyone! I just found out about the forum and trip to bimini, I would love to here how the crossing was especially from anyone who took over an AR192 and how much fuel you burned!

Have fun and be safe! I will def be on the 2015 trip! Already got the wife's approval ;)
I believe @tim2808 went with an AR192. I am waiting after he returns to let me know how it was so I can consider for next year.

Same with me. There are others who have crossed with 18' Seadoos..shouldn't be a problem. My concern was my children are too young, 6month old and 18 mo.

Cell coverage can be goofy over there, especially if you don't have an international plan or coverage in the Bahamas with your carrier.

The internet is pretty slow here so this is a limited selection of pictures from today. Many boats had gopros out on the trip over so I am sure that great footage will be available after the trip.

I was near the back of the pack leaving Fort Lauderdale but @upperdeck will tell you that I had trouble staying there.

We stopped in 2400 feet of water half way to Bimini for a swim

When we arrived @upperdeck led us to the fuel dock on North Bimini in hopes that fuel would be available. Unfortunately it was not.

After an afternoon swimming in the infinity pool we had two tired kids!

We finished the evening by having dinner with @Tyler and Heather. Today was @Rana's Birthday and she had Lobster for dinner.

Oh, and how much fuel do you have left?
The Boston Whaler gathering was last week and they seem to have consumed all the fuel.

We will be here until Bimini is resupplied with fuel which is supposed to be tomorrow or Thursday. We had smooth water on the way over. Most boats consumed half a tank (25 gallons) but the 192 burned 40. I believe that @tim h is the only one who has enough fuel to return safely. Several boats went out to the Sapona ship wreck today. We will probably do so tomorrow.

@DieselCamel, I hope your repair is going well and that you will join us soon!

What happened to @DieselCamel ?
His boat has a serious cooling water overheating that melted some plastic fittings. He has a SeaDoo with closed cycle cooling, something in that system overheated. It happened as we were heading from the hotel to the fuel dock right before departure. Good thing it happened then and not in the middle of the ocean. From what I understand he just gotten his boat back from the shop a few days prior and they were supposed to have fixed this overheating issue.
