I just did a little research on the copters, they can fly up to 22 mph horizontally, pretty fast in my book. That's awesome! I didn't realize those copters could fly that fast.
That is a DJI Phantom and depending on how you get it equiped, it will run you between $500 and $1000 from what I saw on ebay. What copter is that? I have to get one for next year's trip!
I bet Cindy and I have you and Jim beat on the physical age scale, however the mental age of us now that is a different story. FYI - no one from our group is in the video I posted.Ok!? Are all y'all babies? I think Jim & I are going to be the oldest people there!!!! lol I'm going to have to do some sit ups!!! lol
If someone does happen to run out of fuel they should be close to bimini and worst case me or someone else will get to the Sands as quick as possible refuel and then come back to get the stranded boat and tow you back in. Plus @tim h now has a big ass boat which can also help out. Going with a big group is some of the best insurance going.
Good point but your assuming we have gas cans with us and if we did I would assume they would be full before we left Florida, so no need to leave someone floating. I don't plan on bringing gas cans, never needed them, but is someone is unsure of their fuel mileage they should bring some full cans of gas.Why wouldn't you just bring them gas so they could drive in?
Problem is there is nowhere on Bimini to buy one or much of anything else other than cheap liquor. If you need something; food, parts, clothes, etc, you have to bring it with you or wait for someone to bring it over from the states or another island.Even if you didn't have a gas can it would be cheaper to buy one and fill it than tow them in....and faster too! Towing a boat a long way is miserable. Would be cheap and good idea to sign up with TowBoatUS or similar for such a trip.

Yeah my group including myself is late 20's early 30's. I'm 31...
If it counts for anything I got most of partying out through my 8.5 years of college.
I can still drink a few and hang though
