Any idea on the reason it sank??
No, it's an early 2000's model Cobalt. Sealant issue? No bilge pump left on or bilge alarm? Somebody knows.

Spent a long time yesterday on the driveway (needed some TLC). Here are some before and after shots. Much easier with the proper attachment for the power washer....especially when its a Yamaha!

Cutting the old white/clear double layer of greenhouse plastic off the 100'x30' Harnois lambing barn and cow hang out today. Will recover later this Fall with a double layer of clear so we can have a 3 season garden. I rototilled the composted bedding, sheep and cow manure, on the ground today also. Wife is happy. She has a few flats of plants started that need to be planted.

Learning new tricks with the new Yamaha.
I much prefer changing oil in a YJB.

The only thing "better" in the o/b is the oil filter mount - designed with a drip tray/collar.

Lower unit (it's this thing YJBs don't have) - oil change is a royal PIA.

It's good you found a pump for that gear lube, something else to do is to put your gear lube still sealed in a bucket of hot not boiling water to help things flow better

A lot of technology in a small package in that V6. It's like 1 1/2 of your YJB motors in one package making 300 HP instead of 270 HP. Love the way you pamper with the bubble bath and instead of adding bath salts you use salt away. Any aromatherapy essential oils involved? Oh yes, I see the 80w90, such a distinctive scent. LOL. How has the fishing been? Don't mind me, I am just ramblin on til the coffee kicks in.

So funny. Yes, I haven't had an outboard in about 15 years now, that smell hit me.

Not much fishing lately, if not working I'm entertaining, lol.
Not very well though - with my luck - as soon as we setup it tends to rain, lolol.

This was last Sunday - a pool party for my work team, ended up in the rain. There were lots of kids though - who didn't care about the rain. Adults were fine with the rain, too, once we went through a couple cases of that good Prosecco from Costco.

I never minded servicing my Yamaha outboard. It's at the correct height for getting to everything, not very messy and quick to get the job done. Now doing a full oil change on a pair of MR1's, that's getting easier but still a PITA.

How big is your pool. Now that the Admiral thinks we are pool people as well, the conversation of in ground pools has come up.....
