Finished pulling the fence posts, knocked the concrete off of them and was able to reuse every one. Got them all reset with concrete mix and probably start putting the fence back up tomorrow.

Amazing how much outdoor work you can get done this early in the year once you live south of the Mason Dixon line

It is. Also amazing how fast I got sunburnt in FEBRUARY!!
We saw upper 80s last week and a few afternoons in the 90s. Supposed to cool back off for the last couple days of our 2 1/2 weeks of winter we get.

Sunset from the farm where my daughter rides horses. And some work ethic training ?. Pretty impressive for a 9yr old. And she volunteers for 4 hours every weekend. And my oldest trying to figure out life as a pre high schooler. She braided the ponies hair.

@Ronnie @BigN8 and anyone else with a sleep number bed, what has been your experience, good AND bad with them? I almost went with one, two beds ago, and the wife talked me out of it. With her neck, nerve & back issues slowly getting worse, I'm very close to not involving her on the next purchase and finally going with a sleep number. She doesn't realize that the $$$ spent on those 2 beds equal the cost of the sleep number.

The base is my only concern, but I don't need/want anything other than a platform, and I've got a base that I can easily finish out into a platform, which seems to be suitable and exactly what they offer.

Putting sheets on, easy, different, same as "regular"...? Where is the pump stored, is the cord set in a fixed position, other pump/cord things to consider?

Is it one large chamber (baffled, from what I can tell), or is it similar to two beds slid together, meaning is there a rolling towards the center?

All in all, I wish we had gone that route, and it's looking like we will be replacing this one this year or next
Bought one a couple of years ago, should have taken my time rather than buying it on an impluse. WAY too expensive for what you get! DO NOT buy one with an adjustable base....it DOES NOT WORK WELL. The remote and the app get out of sync all the time, then you have to reset the whole thing....FUCKING PITA! WIsh I could return the POS! Big mistake. I could have bought 2 really nice matress sets for what I paid for this thing! Will never buy one again.

glad I didn’t buy the base or the dedicated remote. Sorry you have a bad experience, we love our sleep number and wouldn’t hesitate to buy another.

I don't know if the adjustable base was available for the one I was considering at that time, but I never wanted it. I had a great platform base at the time for the bed we had, and I remember talking to the salesman in the showroom they had in the mall, and I got the distinct vibe that they were making every effort to hide the fact that you could use any stable base for the non-adjustable model.

Other than the base, the common issue was always mold, and having to somehow get it back to them on your own. With the showroom, I would have dropped it in the middle of the store if there were any problems, and I never understood how people couldn't clean and dry it to get rid of the mold. It's a giant non-porous piece that would retain any water, that seems like a given that spills or hot sleepers needed to pay attention to that.

Not looking at an adjustable, but the feedback is a great help. The more data points, the better to make a decision

Funny, I've never had this problem. It seems to always stay on the sleep number that I choose. Another thing is the adjustable base is absolutely the shit when you are sick or don't feel good. In my Covid days I spent many, many hours in that bed. Being able to raise the back or put it in "zero G" was the shit. All I can say is don't penny pinch when it comes to a bed, or pillows. You spend most of your life in that damn thing so buy it if you like it!!

I never had a problem with mold, thank God. We only considered the adjustable base for a few minutes thinking it maybe another way to stop the other spouse from snoring. However we quickly decided against it for two reasons. first it’s only available for the king size mattress and we have a queen. Second, it has to be placed directly on the ground not on a raised frame, this was an issue in that just three months earlier we bought a new bed/frame that we really like (it’s padded all the way around and has large drawers at the bottom of it (it took my wife about five hours to assemble). We were not willing to get rid of this new bed just yet.

one last note, we bought some pillows from sleep number the night we ordered the mattress , they have them in stock. They are great as well, ours have a little cut out for shoulders if you are a side sleeper. $100 each plus tax but we felt they were worth it in the store and confirmed this after one night of use.

I've got 4 MedCline pillows, 1 for each of us, at both houses, so I don't have to worry about forgetting it and suffering for a week without it. Completely ended my GERD issues, which is why I got it, and the wife has flareups from shoulder surgery. Others like it were just a waste, now they're in guest rooms in case someone wants to use them. If something were to happen to them, I'd be FedEx-ing one to replace it. Why yes, I do happen to have a thousand dollars in pillows. ?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️ My wife uses hers sporadically, but when she needs it, nothing else works. Myself, it's every night. No snoring, no GERD...they do take a bit of getting used to, but I haven't come across anything close to it.

I'm with you @BigN8 the money is well spent when one night of terrible sleep can affect you 3-4 days, or more. I'm not a fan of the Zero G position for anything other than our massage chair, and even then, it's gotta be just off of the full recline. I've had the opportunity to try several chairs in that position, and it's just not for me.

Did this by hand......99% certain this was purchased BEFORE Craftsman started outsourcing to chinese made pieces (~'98 purchase if I remember right).

That was doing final torquing while rotating tires on the 0FsQ7 on Saturday afternoon. Would have thought a 17mm socket could have handled the 125ftlbs. Weird.

Also.....I always forget how much this cars tires look like steamrollers because they aren't exceptionally tall, but they're wide as dammit. 295/40/21's

Just installed those on my car earlier this year. Love them to far.

I found mold on ours a few years ago on the bladder right were the top half of our bodies lay . They claim it wasn't "mold" but replaced a majority of the bed within a few days and told us to just throw away the old stuff. We have recently added this Dock Pro: Bed Cooling System & Cooling Mattress Pad and very much love it.

Ironic because I’ve been seeing ads on Facebook or you tube lately for a similar unit but it’s function is to heat not cool. FYI now you guys have me thinking I need to check for mold regularly, even though I have not had any mold problems yet.

Good info on the MedClines...I've been thinking about getting one.

I found that if you don't need it for the shoulder pocket, fill the hole with a small pillow, and put a standard pillow on top.

Definitely feels different and will take some getting used to, but I don't wake up with any more issues - the prescription omeprazole didn't handle nighttime issues.

The sizing chart for it is your friend

So it seems I'm right about it being tied to sleeping hot, is there a fabric on it that makes it difficult to dry out or clean?

That issue always struck me as weird, as it seems like it should be dead simple to take care of, and it would be due to the nature of the material, so you are a perfect customer for them to be able to use your info to tackle this.

The outside of the bladder has a feel similar to canvas but should be cleanable. I was told by sleep number that they put a coating that is supposed to be mold resistant and that my original bladders were prior to that process. I have not had mold return.
