A couple of days of rain and I am pulling taps from the trees so they can heal. Some pictures from the wet woods.
Vernal pool with wild high bush cranberries in the background on the pools edge.

A stone wall stacked 150+ years ago to designate the property boundary.

Then I found an old campfire ring near the wall. Good campsite on high ground.

Checked out one of the beaver ponds.

And the dam on the left

When I turned around and looked at the bank, I saw it covered with wild blueberry bushes with fruit ripening. I let the bear have these.

Berries everywhere.

Anyway, I digress. Back to work.

Oh, and the partridge "Ruffles" is still hanging with me.
