Holy crap this dude is so lucky the other fisherman were around! No lifejacket and out of shape + heavy wet clothes and he could have drowned real quick if the boat didn't kill him first. I'm guilty of not hooking the kill switch to myself sometimes so I can't really grill the guy but just goes to show how important it is no matter the boat drive! I think he said he was reaching for his phone and turned the wheel while he was standing up and then got ejected. He's so freaking lucky to be alive!

They're lucky they didn't snap their necks when they hit the water at that speed... Honestly, if your attempting a world speed record in a bass boat, have the sense to wear a helmet, neck brace and pfd. Because "sh*t happens"!

The Marina docks are in and boats are in the water. I was out there working on the Beneteau this afternoon.



The Lake is high right now due to snow melt runoff. That is her under the white shrinkwrap.



Funny how the ramp/gangway appears to be going down from the floating dock to land.



The next good weather day +70°. The Yamaha is getting wet.

I guess i am pre cooking meats today.
The chicken fingers look awesome.
10 lb pork shoulder that i guess is going to be made into some pulled pork or something for tomorrow. A smoker would have been better but i have a gas2coal grill so charcoal on one side and pork on the other. Chicken for kids.

This was my yesterday - running water and indoor plumbing is something I became VERY appreciative of after inheriting our place up north several years ago. This pic shows the 2 1/2 foot space I have to work in.

4 years later, and I have an ALMOST tool-less hookup and take down for our water setup. In fall, I will be able to rectify two more items, so I'll only need a pipe wrench to remove the cap on the priming point. More time for boating, less time spent fiddling with the water!
