ATV trail riding anyone?

Yes Please!!

I haven't been on a 4-wheeler in 25 years. I still miss it. (I had a Yamaha Warrior.)

How does the ol' Banshee hold up to modern ATV standards? That was a pretty crazy ride when it first came out. It shared top billing on the "insanity scale" with the Suzuki Quadracer 500 (a.k.a. "Quad-zilla").

I couldn't even tell you what the hottest machine is nowadays.

Wow!!! (memory lane) I used to get some kind of ATV or Dirt Rider magazine about that many years ago that had articles of those machines running through trails and rivers and such. No idea if that publication still exists. More recently I got the same kind of magazines for boats. Now, I’m tired of the print ads (and junk mail) and just watch YouTube videos. Lol

The 450's are bad machines now but the banshee can still hold there own. I just love the smell of 2 strokes firing up running castor 927 oil.

We have trails I have been cutting behind our house so I might get up to 3rd gear on the shee but that is about it. My daughters is the blaster so another 2 stoke in the family.

The rhino is a built 686 kit with all of the clutch mods and other goodies with it. I want a yxz1000r to replace this ride but that will come in due time.

I subscribed to "3 and 4 Wheel Action" magazine through most of my teen years.

3 Wheelers still existed back then. My first ride was the Yamaha 125 Tri-Moto. It's anemic (pull-start-only) engine wouldn't hurt you, but the fact that it had no suspension (I mean NONE. It was like a bicycle frame) could kill you if hit a bump of any size - even at the tepid speeds it was capable of.

Imagine how it felt making the switch to the Warrior: 350cc 4-Stroke, 6-speed transmission with manual clutch, electric start, and reverse. I'm not sure it was possible to ride the thing without grinning.

Our season on the Lake will be ending soon. Haul out is near. We are the last boat left on D dock. The colors are beautiful in the valley this time of year. The frost is on the Pumpkin...for peak leaf peeping.

Just a few of us holdouts left.

I don’t drink and boat often; but when I do...it’s while “garage boating”. A perfect night to enjoy New Belgium Knob Creek Oakspire and some epic tunes on the best sound system I own. McLovin’ Lynyrd Skynyrd, Candlebox, Stone Temple Pirates, Nirvana, Alice In Chains...and the playlist goes on. Happy Friday Jetboaters!

I see the new 2020 Slingshot COASTER!! I brought in a couple of the 5'3" models since we sold out of the 2019's during the group buy. I couldn't help but unpack it... I was surprised to find it's more different than I expected. Here's a couple shots. Jump over to my new thread on it for the full analysis and follow along for when I finally have a chance to test it... several months from now. Hopefully someone south will purchase and review sooner...

I know what you are thinking... No, it's not cocaine. :D

John and I are up in the U.P. of MI closing up Mom's cottage. Colors are beautiful (I'll try to get some pics posted tomorrow) but that white stuff was floating around in the air. It was just a touch too warm to stick to any surfaces (around 36 F).

Soon though. Much like in Minnesota, talking about snow in the air this time of year is like acting surprised that it's a day of the week ending in "y" . :D

To be honest, I enjoy the change of the seasons and I'm rather disappointed when we don't have a white Christmas in SE WI. (This last winter it started snowing the day I was turning off my Christmas Lights. I left them on an extra day just to see them in the snow.) That said, I'll be sick of it by the end of January.

Where's the "amen, brother" option? Snowed on today rolling into Fremont, and snow showers in the forecast. I think next year we might be looking for a sled, though, so the outlook might change.
