I like the honesty that our hourly employees put on the “what we need board” in the finishing room. Column 5 is classic..

Guessing Denise filled out column 5…mixture of capital and lower case E’s is a dead giveaway.

In my soon-to-be former company those type of seemingly minor things would take months or years not weeks. Tell her to chill.

Tried to register my Waverunners yesterday and was denied because of a tax hold. The prior county i lived in didn’t send me the luxury tax bills so I didn’t pay them. Funny they got it right for the boat. Anyway, I just paid the annual luxury tax on both Waverunners so now I can register and get quagga and zebra muscle stickers for them as well. Another $36 per ski but at least it’s good for two years instead of just one. Boat billing season never ends even when they are paid off and the boating season is over. About $100 of each bill is late fees. None of the money goes toward boating related activities.

a little trivia i learned today from the tax collectors office:
1. There are 58 counties in California, alphabetically alameda is the first and yuba is the last.
2. It doesn’t matter which county you pay as long as you pay. All the money goes to the state.

I think our “Siemsns Energy” Santa has found the way to reverse aging. Every year, his beard is a little less white.

Finished all the plumbing to my shop sink and Jeannine's kitchen. Installed a 2.5 gallon hot water heater for her and it works great.
Draining into buckets for now. There is no septic for the building so just a porta toilet which is a nice one for emergencies and for the ladies who cant pee in the woods, lol.
The sinks will be eventually draining into a plactic 55 gallon drum that will be burried behind the building. Have the barrel just have to get a shitload of rocks to fill it and surround it

Phase 1 complete for tonight. I will add the red and white C9 strands tomorrow down the side of the house and tuck the cord from the roof behind the gutter. Agree with @Babin Farms, still hard for me to wrap my head around sweating and hanging Christmas lights after 13 years.

Today is jerky day…. again. Sliced up my last venison roast (5lb) and marinated it for the last few days. Used the rest of my jalapeño seasoning and going to use mesquite wood chips for smoke. ???

Completed project. It seemed like I was never going to finish those red and white C9 bulbs down both sides of the house. Each one is individually clipped onto the gutter. Kind of looks like a carnival ride.

Did a good deed today. Got a call for a pressure washing job on a small mobile home. Show up, single lady, retired, never married, no kids and fixed income. Usually this would be a $200 job all day, about 2 hours worth of work. Was feeling generous and donated my time and told her to pay it forward. Back side of the trailer was green! Keep in mind this is some old siding that is stained pretty bad. Now if we can just teach the next generation to do the same!
