2017 Lake Shelbyville Illinois Gathering, July 26th to July 30th 2017

@GTBRMC the Cow is for the dinner on Friday night. I only drink Miller lite out on the water. Need to stay hydrated and clear headed!

'Bout an hour later than I hoped. But, rigs are ready to roll. IMG_2731.JPG

One task complete!

Looks good!

Made it to Chillicothe OH today. Parked the boat and unhooked it so I could go fill up the car in a small gas station down the street and came back to some asshat that parked RIGHT IN FRONT of the boat!!!!! Thankfully another guest arrived and helped me push the boat back so I could hook back up again! I nearly told my wife to stay there and hold the spot....but thought...how stupid do you have to be to park in front of a trailer? And I was gone for like 5 min!!!

We pull out of Columbus Ohio first thing in the morning. Getting excited and seemingly forgetful at the same time.
Boat ready - Check
Truck Ready - Check
Finish Packing the Truck - to do in AM
Music, configured - check
Laser Pointers - check

The boat looks funny with the cover - this trip to Illinois is the only time it gets covered (other than winter storage). All other times it stays in its dedicated Boat parking spot in the heated workshop!

Shelbyville here we come.

I apologize for not being there Thursday night to show you guys how to throw bags, but it would be a shame for someone with brain damage to beat you all, LOL!
We will be there Friday morning by the time you wake up, and we will be staying until Monday morning.
Anyone have a good idea for Saturday dinner?

Is there a Rain day back up plan? Just wondering looks like pretty high chances of T storms tomorrow? Wondering if anyone has ideas.

For me that will consist of a Walmart run, a stop by the local home improvement store, and hopefully a winery!! Lol

Come to think of it, do the home improvement store first, then the winery, and Walmart should be great enetertainment.

I couldn't join this year...

What it feels like to be me, for the next few days:

I actually hope it rains. That means I get off of work and can get my butt down there ASAP
If I do then I will meet you at the Pavilion for an early game of bags

I have several stories like this, irritates the crap out of me!

It is about 7:30 am. The camp is quiet as it is raining pretty hard. Forecast says by noon we should be on the water. Last night was a throw back dinner under the pavilion. Reminded me of the old days when we all brought something to pass and spent time getting to know internet friends face to face.

We are packed up, hooked up and heading out. See everyone later this morning.

Joe, I waved as I passed by your dealership in Bourbonnais. You will hit rain as you get close.

So.... are we still going golfing this morning?
