2017 Lake Shelbyville Illinois Gathering, July 26th to July 30th 2017

Ten hours is no big deal. ;)
 
How did you check out without Nancy talking you into booking for next year? She just asked us what day we were coming. Lol
 
We have been married for 22 years in 2017.. in that time i have learned a few things. So this is how i am selling it. My mother in law lives in Williamstown WV. We have talked about taking the boat up several times and playing on the OHIO river but we havent done it yet. So what i offered to do is leave early the Saturday before and drive to my mother inlaws... stay there sat through Wednesday morning then drive the 4.5 hours to shelbyville..... then leave sometime saturday and come home. we will see how this pays out. I would love for my first Shelbyville to be the 10th anniversary!.

For some reason I thought I was 12 but apparently I'm 13.5 with no boat it would have to be split up on my end as well ugh!
 
If I were coming from the east, I would make plans to stop at Cumberland with @Speedling for a day or two and then motor on to Shelbyville as a group.

Warning; the ride home after a Shelbyville is farther than it appears. Lol

We are splitting up our trips this year. We are probably doing at least friday through Monday at Shelbyville. Going to call in morning to see what you guys left us!

Don't know when Cumberland will be. No one really plans stuff like that so far in advance other than SHELBYVILLE!
 
@Bill D I was too busy loading everything up to check out, we just left the keys in the cabin.

@bronze_10 let's put it this way,, my wife and my mother in law were both slightly skeptical when I convinced them to come down to Shelbyville, now they're the first ones to make plans to get back the next year!

@Julian, If you go to Lebanon do check out Raccoon lake. It's not a huge lake but it is really nice, and it's only about an hour SW of Lebanon. It is our home lake and we're there almost every weekend in the summer. If you go during the week you will almost have the lake to yourself.

If you go to my Youtube channel, you can see a couple of videos I made just running around the lake. My channel is just my name, Scott See.

Just a heads up to all who where thinking about going but did not attend last year. I just tried to make reservations and they would not let me. I was told by the lady on the phone that after they contacted everyone who attended last year they would let me know if they could accommodate me in a few weeks. So if you did not attend last year it would appear you need to find different lodging then Lithia Resort. I guess I will have to see what else is out there :(.
 
@robert843 we pretty much own that resort as a group during that week of the year and Nancy will not give up our rooms unless she confirms with us first. LOL Sorry about that. You can try Gregorys which is right next door.

Yeah pretty much that was the response I got that they had a list of who attended last year and once they got with all you guys they would let me know but I'm not holding my breath for that call back lol.

@robert843 don't get discouraged! If I recall correctly, there was one cabin at the main site and two cabins down the road that weren't filled by us. And @CDENsomnia assured me that Gregory's was pretty nice, and is almost closer to Party Row than the cabin I'm staying in at Lithia.
