Raleigh/Durham - Falls Lake Gathering (July 22nd 2017) Aug 25 2018

We were out on Falls a few weeks ago and cruised by the cove we were at last year. I'm not sure But it looked like the water was up and part of the beach was under water. Not sure if I saw it correctly or I may have been in the wrong cove. Has anybody been out there recently to verify? @Julian i know you had mentioned that your family frequented that cove pretty regularly. Just want to make sure we have a beach to get out on. Either way, I know we'll have fun regardless just dont want to be surprised at the last minute

Falls lake is typically low enough that the beach there is accessible. I just checked the lake level and it is at normal pool (around 252), so the small beach there will be available.

I'll bring my grill. Anyone can also use it if needed (on my boat or anywhere). We'll probably be grilling burgers and corn on on the cob, maybe some potato pouches.

Hey guys, looks like I am not going to make it after all. Have fun!

Sorry. I have not been following this thread as much due to work the last two days... I am still in.. for anyone coming in from out of town do you need anything? Also we hope to be on the water between 9 and 10ish.. but it's hard getting the kids moving!

Still have not heard when @chess flight is getting in today! o_O

I'll be launching @ Hickory Hill boat ramp ~10am.

I plan on being in the water about 9:30. see you all there! I'll be launching from Highway 50 ramp.

Well @Andy S and I made it up here we are probably launching between 9-10 at the ramp off 50 which ever one that is.

Thanks for doing guard duty tonight.

That pic actually was from the security guard I gave him my number and a Franklin to watch my boat but I didn't forget you I told him if he saw anyone messing with your stuff to show them where your hide a key to your truck was a to let them know to have fun and you do not want the boat or truck to ever be found.

We're dunking around 10-10:30 at hwy 50

I tried to talk @PaulyB to bring his junk yard rescue biat down. Both of the engines may be ok... that would have been a fun discussion topic.
