I'm glad you posted this. I cinched my winch up a couple clicks yesterday and I heard my strap rip, luckily I had a cargo strap in my truck with a 2" strap so I replaced the old strap with that one to get me home. I've been looking for an excuse to get a new winch

I think we need a jealous or envious rating button. This thread is making me wish I'd flown out for the weekend and bummed a ride on someone else's boat. I'm not sure what I will be doing this weekend but I'm sure I won't be boating.

Hey @Sheboat. How are things progressing with your boat issue?

We got the quote yesterday from the fiberglass guy, the trailer was bent to the point of needing to be replaced and to fix the boat it will be around $20,000. I have a feeling the insurance will total it, hope to hear from them today.

WOW!!! I would have never guessed that was a $20k hole, however I'm not a fiberglass repair guy either.

I'm with @sstegh, I wouldn't have guessed $20,000. I'd be amazed if they didn't total it. So is the guy that hit you fighting the whole thing?
